Custom Jewellery Terms and Conditions
These Custom Jewellery Terms apply to all custom-made or personalised jewellery orders placed with XOOHON through xoohon.com.au or through direct consultation.
1. Definition of Custom Jewellery
Custom jewellery refers to items that are specifically created or modified for a customer, including but not limited to:
bespoke jewellery designs
custom engagement rings
jewellery with personalised engraving
custom metal selections
modified ring sizes outside standard sizing
made-to-order jewellery.
Because these items are produced specifically for you, additional terms apply.
2. Design Approval
Before production begins:
customers will receive a design confirmation (such as CAD renders or design specifications)
customers must review and approve the design.
Once design approval is provided, production will begin and changes may no longer be possible.
3. Deposits and Payment
For custom jewellery orders:
full payment may be required prior to production; or
a non-refundable 25 % deposit may be required.
Production will not commence until payment has been received.
4. Order Cancellation
Due to the personalised nature of custom jewellery:
orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun
deposits paid for custom jewellery are non-refundable.
If cancellation is requested before production begins, a refund may be provided at the discretion of XOOHON.
5. Returns and Refunds
Custom jewellery items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
However, if a custom item has a manufacturing defect or does not match the approved design specifications, we will work with you to repair, replace, or otherwise resolve the issue in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
6. Production Time
Custom jewellery typically requires a production period.
Estimated production times may vary depending on:
design complexity
gemstone sourcing
manufacturing requirements.
Production timelines are estimates only and may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
7. Variations in Finished Jewellery
Due to the nature of jewellery manufacturing:
minor differences may occur between design renders and the final product
natural or lab-grown gemstones may have slight variations in colour or clarity.
These variations are normal and do not constitute defects.
8. Resizing and Adjustments
Some custom jewellery items may be eligible for resizing after delivery.
Resizing availability depends on:
ring design
gemstone settings
metal type.
Additional fees may apply.
9. Intellectual Property
All custom jewellery designs, CAD files, renders and design concepts created by XOOHON remain the intellectual property of the company unless otherwise agreed in writing.
These designs may not be reproduced, manufactured, or distributed without permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, XOOHON will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from custom jewellery orders.
This clause does not exclude rights provided under Australian Consumer Law.
