General Terms And Conditions Of Purchase

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW REQUIREMENTS

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

For major failures with services, you are entitled:

  • to cancel your service contract with us; and
  • to a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value.

You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.

If a failure with goods or services does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified within a reasonable time.

If this is not done, you are entitled to:

  • a refund for the goods
  • cancellation of the service contract
  • compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

These rights apply in addition to any express warranties or policies provided by XOOHON.

1. CHANGE OF MIND POLICY

Our Change of Mind Policy does not apply to:

  • earrings

  • earring charms

  • earring backings

  • nose jewellery

  • resized rings

  • engraved items

  • special, custom or made-to-order items

  • product sets containing any of the above items.

If you change your mind about an eligible item, we may offer a refund provided:

  • the goods are returned within 30 days of purchase (or delivery for online orders)

  • the goods are in As New Condition

  • proof of purchase is provided

  • original packaging and all documentation are included (e.g., diamond certificates)

As New Condition

“As New Condition” means:

  • the item has not been worn

  • no scratches or damage

  • no signs of use.

Determination of condition is at the sole discretion of XOOHON.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, including customs and duties if applicable.

This Change of Mind Policy does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

2. SPECIAL OR CUSTOM ORDERS (IN-STORE PURCHASES)

The Change of Mind Policy does not apply to:

  • earrings

  • resized rings

  • engraved products

  • custom or made-to-order items.

For special or custom orders, where products are manufactured specifically for the customer:

Examples include:

  • specific ring size

  • custom metal type

  • custom design

  • engraving.

Terms:

  • Title to the product does not pass until full payment is made.

  • A deposit of 25% of the purchase price may be required.

  • The deposit is non-refundable.

  • Production will not begin until the deposit is received.

The remaining balance must be paid within 14 days of notification that the item is ready for collection.

If payment is not made, XOOHON may cancel the order.

If the customer cancels the order:

  • the deposit is non-refundable

  • additional losses may be deducted if they exceed the deposit.

 

3. MADE-TO-ORDER (ONLINE PURCHASES)

For online purchases where the product is manufactured specifically for the customer:

Examples:

  • custom metal selection

  • custom jewellery design

  • personalised jewellery.

Terms:

  • Full payment is required at the time of order

  • Once the order is accepted, it cannot be cancelled

  • Goods will be delivered within a reasonable time.

4. LIMITED JEWELLERY WARRANTY

XOOHON offers a 12-month limited jewellery warranty from the date of purchase.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers:

  • manufacturing defects

  • workmanship issues.

If jewellery requires repair or replacement due to unacceptable quality or major failure, we will:

  • repair the item

  • replace the item

  • or refund the purchase price.

If return shipping costs are significant due to the nature of the defect, we will arrange collection within a reasonable time.

If the return cost is minimal, the customer may be responsible for shipping.

Damage caused by:

  • misuse

  • accidents

  • improper care

is not covered.

This warranty does not exclude your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

5. REPAIR SERVICES

All repaired jewellery comes with a 3-month workmanship guarantee.

If repair workmanship is not satisfactory:

  • the item will be repaired again

  • or the repair cost refunded.

Damage caused by misuse is not covered.

Change-of-mind returns do not apply to repair services.

6. ENGRAVING SERVICES

Engraving services may be available for selected jewellery items.

Engraving limitations:

  • certain fonts only

  • limited character length.

We reserve the right to refuse engraving that:

  • contains offensive language

  • promotes illegal activity

  • infringes intellectual property rights.

Resizing or altering engraved jewellery may affect the engraving finish.

7. REPAIRS AND UNCOLLECTED ITEMS

If jewellery is left for repair:

  • we will notify you when the item is ready for collection.

Items will be held for 12 months.

If the item is not collected within that period:

  • ownership of the item may transfer to XOOHON.

We may then:

  • sell

  • dispose

  • or repurpose the item.

8. PRIVACY

We collect and use your personal information to:

  • process purchases

  • provide services

  • communicate with you.
